About Us:

   *I am a licensed Home Day Care. #03-157735

    *I am a member of the USDA food program.

    *I am NAFCC Accredited.

    *I am a Credentialed Provider.

    *I am a Maryland EXCELS participant.

    *I am CPR, AED and First Aid certified.

    * I am 90 hours and 45 hours Infant/Toddler certified

    *I am required by the MSDE to complete 12 hours of in-service training per year. 

     *I am allowed (according to MSDE licensing) to have up to 8 children under 12

      Up to 6 children may be under the age of 12, of which

    Up to 2 children may be under 24 months of age.

    (Please note, my own children are included in this count.)

   ** I do have 3 INDOOR cats that are very friendly with children**

 
My child care program is semi-structured with individual activities, group activities,
supervised-free time, and supervised outdoor play. Many of these daily activities will
focus on early learning skills such as letters, numbers, colors, and shapes, as well as
manners, dressing one-self, and helping around the house in age-appropriate activities.
                          

These are our pets that I've fostered through BARCS.

I currently have 1  assistant, 1 co-assistant and 1 substitute that works here at RLH. Ms. Kali and Ms. Brooklynn have been fingerprinted and are CPR/First Aid certified.

 OUR DAILY SCHEDULE

 Our day begins upon arrival of the first child and ends upon departure of the last child each day.Children will be encouraged, but will never be forced to participate in any activity. All Outdoor activities are always (Weather Permitting) things change often do to the weather. We also do daily outings including parks, field trips, grocery stores, drop school age children off at schools and shopping malls.


6:00-7:30 am   RLH OPENS          

8:00 am            Breakfast – Those children who arrive prior to 7:30am will be served breakfast.

9:00 am            Circle Time - Children will be given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences.  During this time we will sing interactive songs, such as “The ABC’s”, "Wheels on the Bus" and “Five Little Monkeys”. We will discuss the day of the week, the month, the year, and the weather.  One child will be chosen to mark each of the calendar components.

9:30am             Group Activity Time –children will participate in our morning activity. This may involve arts & crafts, science & discovery, games, puzzles, etc.  Some days this will be a planned activity based on our current theme or skill focus.  Other days the children will be given materials to work on their own creations.

10:15am.           Outside play/Indoor play             

11:30am          Nap Time.All children need a short rest period.

                        Nap / Quiet Play – Those children who have not fallen asleep by this time may play quietly on their cots.  There are books, puzzles, educational hand held games and a variety of toys available for quiet play. (This is mainly for the infants and Toddlers)

1:20pm          Nap time over.. Get ready for lunch

1:30pm.         Lunch time- what's to eat Ms. Rhonda??

2:10 pm         Outdoor play/ walks/ playground

2:30 pm         Story time.

3:00 pm            Afternoon snack. Before/after care join daycare

3:45 pm            Circle Time - Afternoon circle time gives us a chance to say good-bye to friends.  Those children who were not present during the early morning are given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences.  During this time we will sing interactive songs and read a story.( We don't have PM circle time everyday depends on activities planned)  

4:15 pm            Free play. Children will choose their own games and activities.  There will be a variety of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their growth and development. (If weather permits we may go outside)

4:45 pm            Clean up. Toys are put away and hands and faces are freshened up for mom and dad to pick up.

5:00-6:00 pm     Departure/Quiet time. Children are offered TV(Sprout Channel) and a variety of toys to play with while we wait for parents to pick up. Toys are to be put back before the child leaves for the day.
